This workshop is about experiencing the Asset Management Industry and the various Front Line roles in the Asset Management Industry.

It is designed for Business School Students in the final year of their Master’s degree in Finance.

The objective is to provide you with an Introduction of the Asset Management Industry in France and in Europe, understand the current trends and challenges as well as the regulatory environment and finally look more closely at 6 Key roles, as organized in the Front Office of a Major Asset Manager Player.

The 6 key roles are the roles of Portfolio Manager, Institutional Sales, Institutional Product Specialist, RFP Writer, Performance and Attribution Analyst as well as Market Intelligence Analyst. We will discuss the responsibilities as well as the personal attributes and strengths required in these positions.

This workshop will provide you with an understanding of the terminology, key concepts and applied techniques used in the daily life of Asset Management. By being exposed to higher level concepts and their implementation, you will get familiarized with the basic tool kit to accomplish the daily functions in these roles and be provided with an overview of the skills and competences required to market Investment Strategies at the Institutional level.

You will be asked to put together a presentation on an Investment Strategy and present during the last modules of the workshop.
